Most solar security lighting provides a bright spot light, triggered by a motion sensor, with an adjustable length of time to stay on. Some solar security lights have the solar/PV panel integrated into the light system; others have a separate/detachable solar/PV panel. Before purchasing a solar security light, look to see where you want to install it and what kind of sunlight that location gets. You may need to make sure you get one with a separate solar/PV panel.
